Tom Sims competed in the First Annual California Senior Winter Games held at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort earlier this month. Riding a Sims board Tom dominated taking home 2 Gold Medals in the Slalom and Giant Slalom events. It’s great to see him out on the hill still enjoying snowboarding! Keeping the spirit of the Winter Olympics alive the competition for senior winter sports enthusiasts attracted hundreds of senior athletes to the area. The event was open to athletes from across the nation (women and men 50 years and older competing in five-year age groups), the four-day competition featured downhill skiing, telemark, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

Seth Hill kills it in March!

The 2010 Take the Lake Competition took place this past weekend with our own team rider Seth Hill making a splash. Seth rose above the competition during the Triple Air Jumpline Slopesytle contest at Lake Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows. Representing Sims snowboards and outerwear Seth had the right mix of trick execution, amplitude, fluidity, and difficulty in the Saturday championship round to slide into the 2nd place podium spot and take home his cut of the cash prize purse.

Seth also took 2nd place at Echo Mtn.’s Liptricks Not Lipstick contest earlier this month. He is all over the place slaying podiums left and right. Congratulations Seth!!
