A couple weeks back we asked our friends and fans online to design us a Charlie Sheen board for some Sims swag. The entries were all pretty hilarious, but at the end, this one submitted by C. Mclean was just too amazing.
A big thanks to all of the Sims pros, Echo crew, consumers and industry friends that made it out for the 3rd annual Sims Snow Appreciation Day at Echo last week. With some fresh snow, blue skies and warm temps the day was perfect. Everyone in attendance rode hard and made some new friends. Some people even walked away with brand new Sims boards and an Echo season pass. Marc and Kelly at Echo built an impressive A frame feature out of the two Sims butter boxes and it was a huge hit. Check out the images of Sims pros Seth Hill and Bryan Daino sending the A frame. We hope to see you next year when this all goes down again.

The 4th Annual Sims Pro Series Camp at Echo Mountain brought together mini shreds of all ages and skill levels this past weekend. The campers were coached by Sims riders Seth Hill & Bryan Daino as well as the awesome Echo instructors including guest coach Chris Corning. Not only did the campers push themselves and progress but they got to test their skills against one another in the final rail jam and high ollie contest. The statistics of the weekend showed… one broken bone, 5 lucky winners of new Sims snowboards, 1 lucky winner of an Echo season pass, 10 hours of shredding, 16 pizzas devoured and one heck of a good time!!!
Bryan was on hand in Vermont last week, throwing down some icy pipe tricks for the 2011 US Open. After he got back home for such much needed downtime, he brought us up to speed with his trip, his riding, and how many movies he watched due to insane weather. Check out the full post here:

Steve Fisher is headed into matrimonial bliss this weekend as he marries his long time girlfriend Tricia Cole. The two will tie the knot in Bath Ohio before heading to Asia for their honeymoon. Congratulations Steve and Tricia, The Sims crew wishes you a long life of happiness and love!!
The 1st Annual Kick In The Ribs closing day event went down this past weekend at Loveland. With over 3 1/2 feet of snow falling in the last week of the season, it made for epic conditions! Combine the late season snow with some hyped people, lots of food and drink and a bunch of product to giveaway and you’ve got a recipe for fun! Sims riders Erich Dummer and Bryan Daino were on hand to ensure that the stoke was contagious, giving away 3 shred sticks and a whole bunch of swag to the eager crowd. Throughout the entire day, over 200 lbs of pulled pork, 30 racks of ribs and more potato salad than you can imagine were consumed by some hungry shreds. A huge “Thank you” to Chris Heublein for cooking the ridiculous amount of pork to perfection on the Samquench! And many more thanks go out to Loveland, the Public Works, PBR, Red Bull, DVLP Clothing, and Spyder for making this a closing day to remember! See you next year at the 8th annual KITR!

The third annual Sims Pro Series Camp at Echo Mountain went down this past weekend resulting in a lot of bumps, bruises and bragging rights. Fifteen campers spent two full days learning new tricks from Sims pro riders Steve Fisher, Erich Dummer, Seth Hill & Bryan Daino. With lots of encouragement from their coaches the campers perfected their skills on the various box, rail and jump setups around Echo. The kids were then given a chance to show off what they learned during the progression session. Sims snowboards were awarded to campers who charged all weekend and pushed their abilities to the next level. Thanks to Echo Mtn, Sports Authority, Smiling Moose Deli, Beau Jo’s, all of the awesome campers and of course the Sims team riders for making it all happen. Looking forward to next year!

The Sims crew and other snow sliding enthusiasts flooded Echo Mountain earlier this week to enjoy a private session on the shred hill. The second annual Sims Snow Appreciation Day was a huge success bringing together consumers and industry influencers for a day of fun, low key shredding and high 5’s. Echo’s park crew even built a fun little box to box gap feature for Sims pro riders Erich Dummer and Bryan Daino to enjoy. Everyone snacked on Qdoba and cold beers from the bar. At the end of the day three lucky winners walked away with brand new 10/11 Sims boards. Our day of appreciating snow will hopefully lead to lots of fresh this month.
On Wednesday, February 25, Sims partnered up with SOS Outreach and the Greenwood School from Denver, CO for a day of shredding in Keystone. It was a perfect bluebird day at the mountain and jackets were quickly shed as the day progressed. Sims riders Bryan Daino and Seth Hill and the awesome Keystone instructors quickly spread their love of snowboarding on to the kids who eagerly hung on each instruction. Nailing their skills in record time, it wasn’t long before the kids were challenging the Sims riders to racing competitions! At the end of the day the students were already planning their next riding adventures. We would like to thank SOS and Brian Phipps for the wonderful opportunity, the Keystone instructors the kids from the Greenwood School, we’re all so proud of your progress!

On Tuesday, January 19th, Sims partnered up with SOS Outreach and The New America School in Aurora, CO for a day of boarding in Breckenridge. Although the snow was coming down steadily it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Booted and suited, these first time riders didn’t shy away from learning how to board. With the help of Sims pro rider Erich Dummer, several Sims employees and two Breck instructors, the kids were shredding like rock stars in no time. Nearly all the students made it up the chairlift by the end of the day and got in a few runs by themselves. With new skills under their belts we’re pretty confident we hooked a few on the snow sport we all love! We want to thank SOS for the wonderful opportunity and the kids from The New America School for their determination, you impressed us all!

Sims rider Steve Fisher is in Snowbasin Utah competing at the 2nd stop of the Winter Dew Tour. Fisher is the 2nd overall winner from last season’s Dew Tour so he is coming back to defend his title. Taking 2nd place in yesterdays Superpipe prelims Fisher will be competing in finals Saturday night under the lights.

Sims rider Colin Langlois and his beautiful bride Amy got married earlier this month in Oregon. All of the wedding guests signed a custom Sims board with an image of the happy couple on the top sheet. Colin may not be killing it with the ladies anymore but he still shreds the hell out of a snowboard.
Madness ensued at the Sims sponsored Woodward at Copper camp these past three days as 56 groms invaded the facilities. Not only were the campers training in the barn on the trampolines and snow flex but there was still enough snow on hill to hit the jump line, boxes, rails and picnic table setup. The campers were super excited to be coached and learn new skills from Sims team riders, Erich Dummer, Seth Hill and Bryan Daino. During free time the campers got to hang with the Sims pros in the Cage playing video games, skating the mini bowl, playing Fender guitars and making their own skate decks in the Create A Skate section. Sims 09/10 mini shred sticks were given away throughout the camp during various games and contests and each camper got to take a home a Sims goodie bag full of t-shirts, beanies, stickers, tattoos, Sports Authority water bottles and coupons. It was great to see the progression as the groms improved over the course of the camp. The Sims sponsored Woodward at Copper camp sent the kids home exhausted and stoked on the brand! A big thanks to the Woodward at Copper staff, Sports Authority and Sims Snowboard team riders.
Winter X Games 13, the premier winter action sports event in the world, will be held this weekend January 22-25, in Aspen, CO. Sims athlete, Steve Fisher, who will be competing in his seventh Winter X Games, won the superpipe gold in 2007 and 2004. Fisher is riding well and ready to claim gold for the third time. Turner PR has been working vigorously to generate a buzz around Fisher and the Sims brand for the X Games in a local and national media campaign. Fisher has been interviewed for Channel 7 (ABC), Channel 9 (NBC), Channel 31 (FOX), Plum TV Vail, TV8 Vail and Plum TV Aspen. He is also spotlighted in The Denver Post and The Aspen Times. Last but not least Fisher will be featured on the Tonight Show, airing January 27, 2009. Very exciting, be sure to watch and cheer Steve on!
