The most comprehensive exhibit on the history of snowboarding will open to the public tomorrow, December 9th. SIMS will be represented with the World’s First Snowboard along with the SIMS board Tom rode as a 007 stunt double in the 1985 Bond movie “A View To A Kill”.

This last friday we were up at Loveland Resort with SOS Outreach. We had a blast taking 32 kids from Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts (MESA) boarding.

SIMS is teaming up with the Unites States of America Snowboard Association (USASA) for the 11/12 snowboard season. USASA facilitates snowboard events for all ages and levels across the country. Providing member education, promoting development and influencing the future of snowboarding USASA is the premiere snowboard organization in the United States. SIMS will be represented at all events in the Big Alaska Snowboard Series, Intermountain Snowboard Series, Rocky Mountain Series and the New Hampshire Snowboard Series.

As another epic year comes to an end we are excited to see new shredders on the hill. Through the determined efforts of SOS and with the help of Sims a lot of stoked kids from Denver’s Front Range learned how to snowboard this season. Lending their expertise, Sims pro riders took time out of their busy contest schedules to help coach SOS participants and encourage a good time on hill.

Sims and Echo teamed up once again for the annual Pro-Series camp, inviting groms and intermediate riders of all ages to the park for a day to remember. Pro riders Seth Hill and Bryan Daino were on hand to help them ease into the features, and got this great edit at the end of the day. Break out the lime and salt, Sims has partnered with Patron tequila for their most recent collab project. Sims and Patron worked together to design a board that captures the distinctive essence and tradition of both brands. Patron appointed Sims to help them make their debut in the industry by committing to get Patron boards out on the hill and in the glasses of snowboarding’s finest.
The all new Sims 2011-12 Protocol finally saw the light of day in the latest issue of Snowboard Mag. Feast your eyeballs on the new graphics, and cop an issue of the board preview issue when you stop by the pro shop.
The Sims crew came together once again for a great day in the mountains for our Sims Adopt a Highway litter clean up. Our team picked up over 50 giant bags of trash along an 8 mile stretch of I-70 and made Colorado a little more beautiful. Thanks to everyone for working so hard to keep the Colorado High Country trash free.

Sims once again sponsored Woodward at Copper's Grom Week, July 25th – July 28th. With over 50 caffeine charged kids in attendance the coaches and counselors had their hands full. Sims team riders Erich Dummer, Steve Fisher, Seth Hill and Bryan Daino guest coached the eager campers and encouraged them to try new tricks out on the hill. After spending their mornings on snow the kids moved into the Woodward Barn to develop their skills on the trampolines, foam pits and snowflex jumps… and in their free time they raced go karts, played Rock Band and battled at ping-pong. Each camper walked away with Sims t-shirts, stickers and bandannas and the most improved shredders with the best attitude scored a Sims snowboard. A big thanks to the Woodward staff for having us and to the Sims riders for your time and patience! Check out more photos on the Woodward site

Hired initially in research and development, Ollie quickly climbed the ranks until his passion and quiet determination found him sitting at the top of Sims worldwide. He is known for showing up an hour early to work and staying two hours after, making sure the brand is on track and represented at all times.
At Sims we take pride in our beautiful state of Colorado and found the perfect way to ensure it stays that way! This summer the Sims crew volunteered their time to help beautify the Colorado high country through our Sims Adopt A Highway program. We picked up over 50 giant bags of trash alongside an 8 mile stretch of Interstate 70 while sporting ultra-fashionable neon orange vests. Fun finds of the day included multiple rear view mirrors, a refrigerator door, a library DVD (Air Bud to be exact, but don’t worry, we returned it to the library) and a five dollar bill…score! Thanks to the Colorado Department of Transportation for allowing companies like Sims to get involved and make a difference! Do your part…..please don’t litter on our highways!
