What got you into riding a snowboard: Seeing a commercial for the US Open on TV. I brought my K-Mart snowboard, and my dad and I took the gondola to the top at Stratton. We rode his rented board, as a sled, all the way down. The next weekend we went to Loon and began taking lessons together. For two years I rode "regular" before we figured-out I was "goofy".
Interests besides snowboarding: Surfing, wake boarding, wake skating, Junior Lifeguarding at Cape Cod National Seashore, and soccer.

Where is your favorite place to ride your SIMS board and why? Waterville – my SIMS board keeps me in control while launching me off all the big jumps in WV's park, and is great under any condition, here in the Northeast.
How many snowboarding related broken bones have you accumulated? I broke both my arms at Keystone, after a two week stint, at Breck and Keystone. I didn't get enough speed and I knuckled the jump.
Are there any weird rituals you do before a contest? I only wear my white and gray SIMS jacket in competitions.
