What got you into riding a snowboard?Well, I skied for about 10 years before I started snowboarding. A couple of friends in my school snowboarded and when I would go to the mountain with them it looked like they were having way more fun than I had ever had on my skis. This made me want to try it but it didn't happen until my freshman year in 1993 when I got appendicitis at the start of season. Before I got sick I was supposed get a whole new ski set up so while recovering I told my mom that I wanted a snowboard set up instead. So I got a Burton and some Sorrels, took a lesson and was instantly hooked and here I am 16 yrs of snowboarding and still loving every second of it that I still get to do.

Who are the riders that impress and inspire you the most and why?Travis Rice, why is kind of self explanatory. Brian Iguchi, he has taught me along with a lot of other people about riding and being in the backcountry not to mention that he's 30 plus and has been killing it for years. Kyle Clancy, because I watch him get better and better every time I go riding with him. Jeff Kramer, he makes it happen with what little he has to get it done with but is always smiling and having fun and that inspires me.

What trick do you wish you could master?Frontside 1080 double corks. That would be a nice one to master.

If you could pick any song in the world to use in a video part what would it be?Probably a Biggie Smalls song there a lot of good ones so it’s hard to pick one.

When you aren’t shredding what are you up to?Working on a raspberry farm six days a week, skateboarding and planning a wedding in any free time I have.

What do you plan on doing once your snowboarding career ends?Hard to think about that. I feel as healthy and as strong as I ever did just wiser and more experienced. To answer the question though I would want to stay within the industry for sure. I'd like to work with product development or team management something that would still allow me to get on hill and work with riders. Snowboarding means a lot to me. I've learned a lot from it in the 16 years I've been riding and can't see myself doing much else as career.

Seems like you have seen every movie made, what is your favorite one?
Of old ones it's the Indiana Jones Movies, of new ones its Benjamin Button.

What’s your standard skate trick?Nollie pop shovit.

You are tight with the Bluebird crew, what is the most ridiculous thing you have done with those dudes?Rolling around Jackson area jumping off bridges and out of trees.

Which 09/10 Sims board do you prefer to ride?Out of the 09/10 boards I prefer the bamboo ultimate vice. Next in line would be the artist series absolute both 63's for us tall guys who like to stomp in pow.
